Frozen Perl 2009
Frozen Perl is a three day event held at the University of Minnesota's McNamara Alumni Center in Minneapolis, MN. The main event is a one-day, two-track workshop on Saturday, February 7.
There will also be a Perl class taught by brian d foy of Stonehenge Consulting on Friday, February 6, and a hackathon on Sunday, February 8.
Registration is now open. The early bird price is over. Registration is $40 at the student/low-income rate, and $80 for everyone else. We also have an individual sponsorship rate of $120 if you'd like to give a little extra to support the workshop.
To register, you need an ACT account. If you've registered for previous ACT conferences (YAPC or Frozen Perl 2008), you can log in with an existing account. If you don't have an account yet, you can create a new one.
Once you have an account you can register for the workshop.

We've confirmed that brian d foy will offer a one-day Mastering Perl class on the Friday before the workshop.
This class is being offered at a very low rate of $100 per person, and there are 4 student seats available at $25 each. You can pay for the class the same way as you pay for the workshop. See the class page for details.
10/03/08 - Keynote Speaker; First Sponsor; Registration is open
Three exciting pieces of news.
First, we have confirmed Andy Lester as our keynote speaker. Andy is a well-known Perl community member, and the maintainer of the Perl Buzz site, among other things.
Second, we have our first sponsor. Holmes Corporation will sponsor Frozen Perl at the Silver level.
Third, registration is open for you really, really early birds. Feel free to pay now.
09/26/08 - Perl Class is a Go
brian d foy of Stonehenge Consulting has confirmed that he will offer a class on the Friday before Frozen Perl.
We don't know exactly what the class will be yet, but it will be an all day class on a Perl-related topic, and will be offered at a very reasonable rate.
We're also looking into the possibility of offering scholarships for students who want to attend the class.
More details will be announced in the future.
