Will there be food?

Yes, we will have breakfast (bagels, pastries), lunch, and probably an afternoon snack as well.

Will I get a cool t-shirt?

Probably. Make sure to set your t-shirt size in your profile.

"I have been only using Perl for about a year or so and I don't really have any specific programming background. Will the conference have presentations useful for me?"

We have a good slate of talks in the beginner track that should be suitable for people new to Perl. They're probably not beginner enough for people who've never programmed, but a year of Perl use should be plenty.

Will there be conference materials?

Probably not, though historically speakers usually make their slides available online after a conference. We will not be printing anything.

How big will the conference be?

We're hoping to get at least 80 attendees (including speakers), and 100 would be even better. The bigger of our two rooms can accomodate many more than 100 people, and the smaller can handle 75 or so. The size of the audience for individual talks will vary, of course.
